Is its parent directory writable by the server?<\/pre>\n<p>I had attempted to edit permissions on the uploads folder and subfolders, which ended up not being the issue.<\/p>\n<p>I found this solution, which worked out great.<\/p>\n<p>Edit your wp-config.php, adding the following line.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"php\">define( 'UPLOADS', 'wp-content\/uploads' );<\/pre>\n<p>before these lines:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"EnlighterJSRAW\" data-enlighter-language=\"php\">\/** WordPress absolute path to the WordPress directory. *\/\r\nif ( !defined('ABSPATH') )\r\n    define('ABSPATH', dirname(__FILE__) .
